The India-Pakistan youth group Aaghaz-e-Dosti has issued a call for art entries for its upcoming Peace Calendar published annually since 2012. The calendar features 12 selected paintings by school students across India and Pakistan. One of its unique features is that every year it is launched at seminars held in several cities of both countries, participated in by prominent citizens who also share their thoughts.
Additionally, well known personalities working on peacebuilding from both countries also send in special messages.
Students, teachers and schools interested in participating must follow these guidelines:
* The theme of the calendar is “Indo-Pak Peace and Friendship”.
* Students of class 8 to 11 may participate.
* The painting must be original
* The artwork should be made on A4 size paper.
* Use poster colors
* Please write the student’s name, class, email (if available), school and painting caption/description on the reverse side of the painting
The deadline for submissions is 25 September 2017
Paintings need to be sent by post or scanned and emailed to [email protected] (email for postal address). All participants will receive a certificate of acknowledgement.
