Indian guests receive warm welcome

Shahrukh-ToILAHORE: Indian delegates arriving in Pakistan through Wahga border on Sunday afternoon were given a warm welcome.

The arrival of Indian guests started around 12 noon and continued for quite sometime. They were received by Shahrukh Hasan of Jang Group and Chief Executive Officer of Pak-India Business Forum Amin Hashwani while officials related to Aman Ki Asha were also present on the occasion.

The guests and the hosts had also some photographs at the border. A nearby venue was designated for formal reception of the delegates where a music programme together with traditional Dhol performance was also arranged which was highly appreciated by the guests.

A number of songs highlighting the theme of friendship, including “yeh dosti hum nahin torain gay…,” were sung on the occasion. A number of Indians also performed dance to Punjabi songs and greatly enjoyed the music.

The venue was giving a festive look and the guests were also served with cold drinks and snacks. Special security arrangements were made for the visiting delegates who, afterwards, were escorted to the hotel after clearance from the immigration authorities.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Indian delegation comprising businessmen, industrialists and entrepreneurs representing various fields have come to Pakistan to attend the two-day 2nd Aman Ki Asha Indo-Pak Economic Conference “Dividends,” starting at PC Hotel from Monday (today).
