Strategic Seminar I – “A Common Destiny”

Held on: April 22-23, 2010, Lahore

Description: “A Common Destiny” was the first of a series of strategic seminars held by Aman ki Asha. As part of this seminar, prominent academics, writers and analysts from India and Pakistan came together to deliberate upon issues of strategic importance with regards to Indo-Pak relations. Delegates agreed that Pakistan and India have ‘a common destiny’ and need to maintain  a sustained dialogue to resolve bi-lateral issues, including Jammu and Kashmir, terrorism, water sharing, trade and investment. The issues addressed in the seminar included discussions on water sharing, visa problems, terrorism, intelligence sharing, defence, trade and investment, information, youth, education and South Asia and SAARC.
