People and politics are different
“Okay, so I m obviously neither Indian, nor Pakistani; not even Asian. But even so, I like to be informed about what s happening in the world not just around me, but mostly in Asia. And, yes, I know about the state of the relations; worse, I ve seen the prejudice of people based solely on what they see on TV.
Political relations aside, I can honestly say that I ve met quite wonderful Indian and Pakistani people, who, believe it or not, are great friends to each other! I see them talk about anything- ranging from cricket, religion and politics to Bollywood cinema, hiking and food, to name a few. They laugh and enjoy life together, and why should that be unusual? All I m saying is, there s a difference between people and politics.”
