Indians have always loved Pakistani singers, say the Amritsari qawwals Padmashri Ustad Puranchand and Ustad Pyarelal Wadali, who are glad to be a part of the unique Aman Ki Asha peace initiative by The Times of India and the Jang Group of Pakistan, at Ahmedabad today. “Music is God for us. We want to thank Him for showing us a way to erase the line dividing Hindustan and Pakistan,” says Ustad Pyarelal. “When we heard about this mission and got an invitation to perform, we were so glad. It is indeed a great opportunity to perform with the Pakistani artistes Fareed Ayaz Abu Muhammad Qawwal and Brothers.
Seeing both the countries together on stage will be a great high,” says Ustad Puranchand. The brothers are eagerly looking forward to the concert today.
