1st Economic Conference – “Indo-Pak Business Meet”
Held on: May 18-19, 2010, New Delhi
Description: The Jang Group, Times of India and CII came together to organise the largest India-Pakistan CEO conference. The conference was attended by over 60 imminent businessmen from Pakistan and over 250 CEOs, businessmen and entrepreneurs from India. His Excellency, Mr.Pranab Mukherjee, inaugurated the event as Chief Guest. After a robust and interactive two-day discussion, six sectors were identified as having the greatest potential for the economic co-operation: textiles, IT, agriculture, healthcare, education and energy. It was decided that cross border CEO forums would be constituted for each of these sectors.
