‘Stop fighting for something we cannot own’

“About four million years ago, after infinite combinations and modifications, a brain called ‘human’ emerged on this nearly five billion years old planet. The human had mainly two basic purposes in life, to find food and to rest in his ‘shelter’. The whole world was his shelter. But as the human race multiplied, clans, ethnicity and differences appeared. And land divisions and boundaries, nations and states. And wars.

Differences continue to grow. Such differences led to the division of India and Pakistan. But we still haven’t found a way to live side by side in peace.

We came to this planet and it owns us. It can shake us away anytime it wants. We can never own it. I urge you people, please stop fighting for something we can never own. Sure we cannot turn back to better times with no boundaries, but let’s least try to co-exist peacefully within and between these boundaries.

Sundeep Naik India”
