A new Hindi channel ‘Zindagi’ launched recently by Zee Network in India is drawing plaudits for broadcasting Pakistani television dramas and serials.
Pakistani television dramas and serials are very popular with Indian consumers. Zee Zindagi s the first channel of its kind in India, somewhat similar to Geo Kahani of Pakistan, which not only showcases Pakistani serials but also sources content from Turkey, Latin America and Egypt.
Transmissions are expected to officially start from June 23. Meanwhile, the channel is on a test run with the tag line of ‘Jodey Dilon Ko’ (binding hearts), highlighting that even if people are culturally different, the stories of their lives are universal.
Earlier, blockbusters like ‘Humsafar’ and others have been on aired on Indian channels.
